Kevin Wong

My name’s Kevin. I’m a Machine Learning and Neural Network enthusiast interested in the broader applications of unsupervised learning and the ramifications that come with the new generation of AI that we are currently building.

Hi there! My name is Kevin, and I’m a lover of learning, literature, and love! I’m an avid connoisseur of Machine Learning, incredible literature, sports, games and more! I’m currently a student at UCSD Majoring in Data Science with a specialization in Machine Learning and Unsupervisied Neural Networks. I’m currently interested in learning how the advancement of LLMs will happen, especially with the most innovative part of LLMs happening almost a decade ago!

Apart from academics, I’m also an RA (Residential Assistant) at Revelle College, an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy, along with a runner and enjoyer of all things fun!

Projects

  1. GPT - A recreation of GPT-2’s capabilities using inspiration from Andrej Karpathy along with the Transformer that helped revolutionize LLMs and the idea of unsupervised learning. A basic model (trained on Shakespeare) is included in my Github!

  2. League of Legends Analysis - An analysis of League of Legends Professional Play, specifically, an analysis on predicting how well teams will do depending on the set of data we were given.

  3. Computer Vision - Learning how to apply CNNs and RNN architecture in order to help learn how to predict different classifiers for different images. Using Stanford’s CS231n class as inspiration.
